HSOMS sponsored Continuing Education

Hamden-Shoreline Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates regularly sponsors educational meetings, lectures, and hands-on informational workshops for our referring doctors. Previous meetings included:

1. "Dental Implant Lunch and Learn," A luncheon introducing new technologies in esthetic abutments
2. "Cocktails, Dinner, and Learn: The Features and Updates of Dental Implant Prosthetics,” A Hands-on workshop and informational session
3. "The Team Approach to Implant Dentistry," A lecture for all members of the dental team

Future continuing education meetings are being planned and will cover the latest advancements and techniques in implant dentistry, with topics such as:

1. treatment planning and patient selection,
2. fixed and removable restorative options,
3. anterior esthetic considerations,
4. controversies (immediate loading, implants in the medically compromised patient, etc),
5. peri-implant soft-tissue management, and
6. management of implant complications.
