Dr. Johnson performs the full-scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including minor and major office-based surgery (basic oral surgery, surgery for impacted teeth, dental implants and bone grafting), reconstructive jaw surgery / orthognathic surgery, surgical management of maxillofacial pathology (jaw cysts and tumors), maxillofacial trauma, and infection management.
In addition to being a full-partner with Hamden-Shoreline OMS Associated, Dr. Johnson is part-time academic faculty at Yale-New-Haven Hospital.
Dr. Johnson has been involved in various research projects and has mentored multiple Yale residents in their research. Dr. Johnson routinely lectures on topics that include head and neck history and physical exam, craniofacial topics, maxillofacial bone grafting for dental implants, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck infections, anesthesia, and the surgical management of medically complex patients. He has received numerous scholarships and awards relating to oral and maxillofacial surgery, radiology, and research. Dr. Johnson is the proud recipient of the Bernard Levine Teacher of the Year Award.
Dr. Johnson spends his free time with family and friends. He resides in Guilford and Westbrook, CT with his wife and three children.
