Dr. Johnson has been involved in research relating to maxillofacial trauma and anesthesia.  He has also lectured on topics that include maxillofacial bone grafting for dental implants, orthognathic surgery, trauma, and the surgical management of medically complex patients. Dr. Johnson has received numerous scholarships and awards relating to oral and maxillofacial surgery, radiology, and research.  Dr. Johnson enjoys being actively involved in the training of residents at the Hospital of Saint Raphael and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
